Installation Notes

  • Be sure to jumper pins 6 and 7
  • The regulated power-supply you specify must be able to adjust to 13.8 or 27.6Vdc - AND must be adjusted accordingly.
  • Power fail problems are often due to minimum load requirements. Measure your load - manufacturers specifications on loads are often padded worst case.
  • Power fail operation(pins 1 and 4): During normal powered operation the contacts will be OPEN. When the unit goes on battery the contacts CLOSE and when the batteries run down and disconnect the contacts remain Closed . Make sure you understand that during "normal" operation the NC contacts will be open!
  • A version (-NO suffix) is available with the power fail contacts reversed. The following refers to the -NO version only!:
During normal powered operation the contacts will be closed. When the unit goes on battery the contacts open and when the batteries run down and disconnect the contacts remain open (NO (Normally Open) means that under no power the contacts are open). Make sure you understand that during "normal" operation the NO contacts will be closed! There is not an -NC version as that is the stock version.
